Arenas de Silencio<\/em> no es una pel\u00edcula exclusivamente sobre tr\u00e1fico humano; es, m\u00e1s bien, un filme documental que aborda las interconexiones del espectro completo de la violencia sexual a trav\u00e9s de su denominador com\u00fan: el silencio.<\/h3>\n

Estamos convencidos de que los supervivientes de la explotaci\u00f3n y el abuso necesitan que sus defensores salgan de la mentalidad de silo que, al hacer distinciones entre los diferentes tipos de abuso\/explotaci\u00f3n, impide la resoluci\u00f3n conjunta de la causa com\u00fan<\/strong> de todo abuso y explotaci\u00f3n: el silencio<\/strong> del superviviente y de la comunidad en general.<\/p>\n

Los depredadores abusan sexualmente, dan palizas, violan, prostituyen y trafican en esos espacios de silencio. Los que han sufrido cualquier tipo de abuso o explotaci\u00f3n tienen muchas m\u00e1s posibilidades de sufrir otros,<\/strong> dado que los depredadores identifican esa debilidad y contin\u00faan sus canalladas impunemente.<\/p>\n

SOS [Arenas de Silencio, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s] est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para luchar tanto contra el silencio basado en el miedo y la humillaci\u00f3n como contra el silencio mis\u00f3gino y patriarcal de nuestra civilizaci\u00f3n que les rechaza y castiga. Arenas de Silencio muestra el proceso de renunciar al silencio y ofrece a los supervivientes un posible futuro m\u00e1s positivo que les ayude a pedir ayuda a sus familiares, la comunidad y grupos de apoyo.<\/p>\n

El \u00e9xito de SOS a la hora de incitar a romper el silencio es crucial para todo tipo de persona o grupo en contra del abuso y la explotaci\u00f3n humana. Despu\u00e9s de todo, ser\u00edan incapaces de cumplir su mandato si los supervivientes no se autoidentificaran como tales. SOS es la herramienta que necesitan para llegar a las personas que defienden.<\/p>\n
